Miami fans are hoping this doesn't happen for Ward.

The NFL Combine is sneaking up on us and before you know it, the first round of the 2025 draft will arrive. Obviously, everyone in south Florida is waiting to see where Cam Ward will land, as the standout signal-caller for the Miami Hurricanes is in the No. 1 hunt.

However, could the Tennessee Titans surprise us all and go with either Travis Hunter or Shedeur Sanders with their top pick? That's what Pro Football Focus' Max Chadwick is predicting, as his new mock draft has Hunter hearing his name called first. To make matters worse, however, he also has Ward going No. 2 overall to the Cleveland Browns. Yeah, thanks, but no thanks.

New mock draft has Miami QB Cam Ward landing with the Cleveland Browns

Let's be real here, Cleveland has become a place where careers die for quarterbacks. There has been a game of musical chairs in terms of the Browns trying to find someone to run the offense, but nothing has gone right for them there.

The latest move was to give Deshaun Watson one of the worst contracts in NFL history. That decision backfired. How did things go for Johnny Manziel with the team? Not well. Mention the name Tim Couch in Cleveland and people won't waste a second in rolling their eyes.

There's just something about playmakers going to play for the AFC North side and nothing working out for them. Is this something that Ward is going to be able to change if he makes his way to play for them? People all over Miami don't want to even think about that happening.

In some good news for Ward and the Hurricanes, there are several other mocks that have Ward going to Tennessee at No. 1 overall. There's no arguing that Tennessee would be a much better fit for a young QB over the Browns. Let's keep our fingers crossed that ends up happening for the star Miami QB.
