On3 announced it has moved its NIL valuation from an algorithm-based model to a deal-based model designed to reflect current player contract value rather than a projection of marketing value, endorsement potential or what used to be viewed as "true NIL." Under the new system, On3 ranks Miami QB Darian Mensah at No. 1 in its NIL 100 with a $6.5 million valuation.
That is a major number for Mensah. Quarterbacks with proven production are the most expensive players in the sport, and Mensah's portfolio should only go up in value if Miami can make another CFP run.

Kentucky power forward Milan Momcilovic and Louisville center Flory Bidunga are tied for second at $6 million. Momcilovic transferred from Iowa State to Kentucky after pulling out of the NBA draft and averaged 16.9 points while shooting 48.7% from 3-point range last season. Bidunga transferred from Kansas to Louisville after averaging 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds while leading the Big 12 in blocked shots and field-goal percentage.
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore is fourth at $5 million after choosing to return to school instead of entering the NFL draft. Moore is an early favorite for the Heisman Trophy after throwing 30 touchdowns with 10 interceptions and leading Oregon to a 13-2 record. Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is fifth at $5 million after an 87-catch season for 1,243 yards and 12 touchdowns.
