The University of Miami's men's basketball program, under head coach Jai Lucas, has expressed interest in acquiring UCF transfer guard Keyshawn Hall. Hall, a 6-foot-7 junior, has had an extensive journey, playing for UNLV, George Mason, and most recently, UCF. In the 2024–25 season with the Knights, he delivered averages of 18.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, while shooting 42.7% from the field, 35.4% from three-point range, and 81.6% from the free-throw line.

Hall's career began at UNLV, where as a freshman he appeared in 18 games averaging 5.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.  He then transferred to George Mason for his sophomore year leading the team with 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, earning Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors.  His junior year at UCF saw continued growth with arguably his best game coming against Utah in the Big 12 tournament's first round.

In addition to Miami, several other prominent programs including Kansas, Arkansas, UConn, LSU, Baylor, Texas A&M, USC, Missouri, Washington, SMU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, and Arizona State have reached out to Hall. Notably, Hall has also declared for the 2025 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility, keeping his options open for the upcoming season. Hall is set to have Zoom meetings with Kentucky and Auburn on Monday.

Miami's interest in Hall aligns with Coach Lucas's strategy to strengthen the Hurricanes' backcourt depth and versatility. Hall's size, scoring ability, and experience across multiple conferences could provide a significant boost to Miami's roster as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming season. Currently, it appears as though Miami is fighting an uphill battle to keep Hall within the state of Florida, but Lucas is a known recruiter so Hall could be one of his first big-time transfers if the Hurricanes can put together a compelling pitch.
