Collera pitched 5.0 innings, allowing two runs on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts. The Miami bullpen was nearly flawless over the last four innings, shutting out Boston College on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts as the Hurricanes earned an 8-2 win to advance to the ACC Tournament semifinals.
Miami scored six runs on 10 hits with a walk and five strikeouts off of third-team All-ACC pitcher A.J. Colarusso over five innings to set the tone for the win. Boston College used four more pitchers over the final four innings. The Eagles will wait to see where they will play in the NCAA Tournament when the brackets are announced on Monday.
Boston College took control early with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. A Jack Toomey single scored Ty Mainolfi to put Boston College ahead 1-0. A Kyle Wolff double score Toomey to make it 2-0 Boston College.
Miami answered immediately with a four-run third inning. A Vance Sheehan ground out scored Dylan Dubovik for Miami's first run. Fabio Peralta hit his first HR of the season to put Miami ahead to stay, 3-2. Jake Ogden scored on a wild pitch later in the inning to extend the Miami lead to 4-2.

Alex Sosa hit a HR in the bottom of the fourth inning to put Miami ahead 6-2. Gabriel Milano made the Miami lead grand slam proof with a double to score Dubovik and give Miami a 7-2 lead. A fielder's choice extended the Miami lead to 8-2 in the eighth inning.
Dubovik had two hits and he and Derek Williams led Miami with two runs scored. Milano and Peralta tied for a team-leading three hits. Miami had X hits as a team on Thursday in X at-bats. Miami has scored X runs in its two ACC Tournament games after an 11-2 win over Stanford on Wednesday.
Miami advances to play Georgia Tech in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Saturday. Georgia Tech rallied from a five-run deficit to beat Virginia 16-10 on Thursday. Georgia Tech won the ACC Regular Season title, but did not play Miami during the regular season.
Georgia Tech has been the best team in the ACC all season. The Yellow Jackets will enter the game on Saturday with 46 wins and nine losses. Georgia Tech had 25 wins and five losses in the ACC in 2026. In their final series of the season, Georgia Tech outscored Boston College 38-3 in a three-game sweep.
