Mario Cristobal continues to assemble one of the nation's most talented recruiting classes, and Miami's latest addition has created an especially impressive group of playmakers. With five-star wide receiver Brysen Wright joining A'mir Sears and Nick Lennear in the 2027 class, the Hurricanes now have three of the country's top 20 prospects committed to their program.

The Big 3 returns to Miami
Wright committed to Miami on Thursday, choosing the Hurricanes over Florida and Texas before moving from the 2028 recruiting cycle into the 2027 class. The decision gives Miami 21 commitments and moves the Hurricanes to No. 2 nationally in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, behind only Ohio State.
According to the Rivals Industry rankings, Sears is the No. 9 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the country. Wright checks in at No. 11 nationally and No. 3 among receivers, while Lennear is No. 20 overall and the fourth-ranked receiver.
Wright, who plays at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, has caught 46 passes for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games this season.
He has developed a strong connection with Mandarin quarterback Knox Annis, who committed to Miami as part of the 2028 class in April.
Sears also originally belonged to the 2028 class before announcing his reclassification in July and committing to the Hurricanes shortly afterward.
During his sophomore season, Sears recorded 61 tackles and three interceptions while catching 42 passes for 942 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Lennear committed to the Hurricanes on March 5, and he previously played at Miami Northwestern before transferring to Miami Carol City for his senior season. He recorded 42 receptions for 778 yards and 12 touchdowns during his sophomore campaign.
The Hurricanes currently have five five-star commitments, with 13 additional four-star prospects. Miami fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming years.
