Jordan Reid's first 2027 NFL mock draft put two current Miami Hurricanes in the first 32 picks, both interior linemen, and both in the late first. But it also doesn't include Darian Mensah, who has been mocked as high as No. 1 overall in the 2027 draft.
The mock is quarterback-heavy at the top with Oregon's Dante Moore going to Cleveland at No. 1, Arch Manning being selected by Arizona at No. 2 and Notre Dame's CJ Carr going to the Jets at No. 3. One thing Hurricanes fans will immediately notice is the absence of Mensah, who should be viewed as being on the same level as those players by the time the season ends.
Before getting into the defensive side of the ball, the Mensah absence should be addressed. It wasn’t made clear if Reid believes that Mensah is a second round pick in the 2027 draft, or if he believes he will wait another year before declaring. Regardless, he is a little lower on Mensah than some of the other mock drafts that have been released.
Justin Scott, DT: Seattle Seahawks, No. 29
Scott is a 6-foot-4, 303-pound junior from Chicago who arrived as a five-star in the 2024 class. Reid has Seattle taking him because Leonard Williams is a potential free agent and Jarran Reed aging.
He was not included in Scott's April mock draft. That honor went to Damon Wilson. Reid initially had Wilson going to the Jaguars at No. 15, and Moten going to the Bears at No. 16.
Ahmad Moten Sr., DT: Baltimore Ravens, No. 30
One pick later, Reid has Moten to the Ravens as a scheme fit for Jesse Minter. Moten has been included in multiple mocks after the 2026 NFL draft ended. This is a huge year for him and he could be drafted anywhere from the top ten to the end of the first round.
