Mark FletcherJr., Miami's senior running back, used NIL earnings to surprise his mother with a new luxury SUV. The scene was filmed for Fetching Fletchers, the series produced by Miami great and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin's production company.
The video dropped this week, just ahead of the No. 1 Hurricanes' trip to North Carolina.

Linda Fletcher has become one of the most visible figures around the Miami program since she does not fly. She drives to her son's games, home and away, the way she has since he was younger. In 2025, as Miami reached the College Football Playoff national championship game, she logged roughly 18,000 miles in rental cars and whatever she could arrange.
In August, Irvin and Fun Town RV surprised her with a custom orange-and-green coach so she could travel more comfortably. The RV carries the 2026 schedule on the wrap and a portrait of Fletcher's late father, Mark Sr., on the door.
Fletcher has been the steady force in Miami's run game through the program's last two years. In 2025 he carried the ball 216 times for 1,192 yards and 12 touchdowns, adding 140 receiving yards and two more scores while helping the Hurricanes reach the national title game. During the CFP run, Fletcher was dominant, and he currently holds the record for most rushing yards in a single playoff run.
He returned for 2026 rather than going to the NFL, and the production has continued even as he shares work with true freshman RB Javian Mallory.
Through six games this season he has 81 carries for 414 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per attempt. Fletcher has become a true leader of men during his time at Miami and when he goes to the NFL after this season, the Hurricanes will have a big opening to replace.
