Colby Wright said Thursday morning that he and his son will be in Gainesville this weekend, putting the nation's top 2028 prospect (per Rivals Industry and the 247Composite rankings) in The Swamp for one of the biggest recruiting weekends of the college football season.

5-star WR Brysen Wright will visit Gainesville for Florida vs. Ole Miss
Brysen Wright, a five-star wide receiver from Jacksonville, is expected in the stands Saturday when No. 21 Florida hosts No. 4 Ole Miss. The Gators are 3-0 after a 44-39 win at Auburn and the Rebels are 3-0 after beating LSU.
The visit has been on the calendar since August and comes after a Texas game-day trip on Sept. 12. In that game, the Longhorns staged a dramatic comeback win in the fourth quarter to beat Ohio State 24-23. Wright hasn't narrowed down his recruitment just yet but the teams that he has his eyes on are Florida, Miami, Texas and Ohio State.
Florida has built a relationship with Wright after the Gators offered him back in 2024. Wright was in Gainesville in June for an unofficial visit, and Gators coach Jon Sumrall has treated him as a top priority in the 2028 cycle.
The Hurricanes were the first school to offer Wright, in December 2023, and high school teammate Knox Annis, a 2028 quarterback, committed to Miami in April. Wright visited Coral Gables in June and he is expected to take a game-day trip to Hard Rock Stadium later this fall. 2028 OL Kweli Fielder is also committed to Miami.
Wright caught 31 passes for 646 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman and he caught 44 passes for 962 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore. Through four games this season he has hauled in 16 receptions for 358 yards and five touchdowns.
