The season may have just ended for Miami and Mario Cristobal, but the focus is now on to the 2026 campaign. Thankfully, the ACC released the official schedules for '26 on Monday night, but instead of people getting jacked up, plenty of fans are furious.
Miami exec drops biggest hint yet that Darian Mensah will be on the way soon
That's because the start of the season doesn't provide Miami with any games on Saturday. Wait, what? That's right, with the official schedule out, Miami opens the season in Week 1 at Stanford on Friday night, it'll host Florida A&M on Thursday night in Week 2 and then in Week 3 a trip to Wake Forest on a Friday night is on the way. Come on:
Mark your calendars! 🗓️

Miami's first 3 football games in 2026 are not going to make fans happy
Call us old fashioned, but college football games are meant to be played each and every weekend. The fact that the Miami faithful are going to have to wait until Week 4 against Central Michigan for its first taste of Saturday football in the fall is a joke.
The players of course aren't going to care when they take the field, as it won't have an impact on their focus at all. Still, we felt like we needed to complain here a bit, as no one can just throw the fan experience out the door.
With that said, Miami is looking to have a huge year once again after finishing as the national runner-up. The expectation is that quarterback Darian Mensah will sign soon, as he'll be the Carson Beck replacement the program needs.
Mark Fletcher Jr. and plenty of other key returners are back too, with Cristobal hoping to go on a deep CFP run once again next winter. We've got a long wait until Week 1 gets here, but it's never too early to get hyped up for the college football season. Still, Friday, Thursday and Friday night action for the first three weeks was something no one wanted to see.
