Miami head coach Jai Lucas has some work to do in the transfer portal this offseason, and it could all start with one player. After a great first year with the Hurricanes, Lucas proved he could build a winning team, and now he must start his encore.

Lucas could start with a commitment from one of the top power forwards in the portal, former Kansas Jayhawk Bryson Tiller. The redshirt freshman may not have stats that jump off the sheet, averaging just 7.9 points per game and 6.1 rebounds, but he is one who still has a very high ceiling, and Lucas seemed to know how to get the best out of his players.

Tiller has narrowed his choices down to four schools: Miami, Missouri, Arizona, and Michigan. So, this won't be an easy battle for the talented power forward, but Miami does have the money to try and lure Tiller towards the Hurricanes.

With former Kansas big man Flory Bidunga also eyeing Michigan, it could deter Tiller from picking the new National Champion Wolverines, as he probably is ready to be out of that shadow. That leaves Missouri and Arizona on the table, two teams that could put a lot into trying to recruit Tiller.

Miami would make sense for the Atlanta, Georgia, native to be a little closer to home, but the ability to be the featured big man could seal the deal for the Hurricanes. Miami will need some size in the paint, and Tiller proved he can be a presence there when he isn't fighting for the spot with another teammate.

Not only did Tiller average 6.1 rebounds per game, but he also had 1.3 blocks, showing he also has what it takes to play lockdown defense. Now, Tiller had his moments of struggle under Kansas head coach Bill Self, but a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs to have a breakout season.
