Colorado transfer Bangot Dak is scheduled to visit Miami, Oregon, SMU and Vanderbilt, which immediately puts the Hurricanes in the middle of a serious transfer portal battle.
Dak is a 7-foot forward with one season of eligibility remaining and would be a great piece for Miami after losing Malik Reneau and Ernest Udeh Jr in the frontcourt.

Bangot Dak had a productive year at Colorado
Dak is from Lincoln, Nebraska, and he spent all three of his college seasons at Colorado before entering the portal. After playing a small role as a freshman, he broke through as a sophomore with 8.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game, then took another jump this past season to 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 blocks while shooting 49.2% from the field.
Dak's best basketball came during Colorado's Acrisure Holiday Classic run when he averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 blocks. He earned tournament MVP honors, posted a career-high six assists against San Francisco, and recorded a double-double in the title game.
Dak posted a career-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in a March win over Utah, and earlier in his Colorado career he had a 19-point, eight-block game against Cincinnati.
Miami frontcourt players who are leaving
- Malik Reneau, PF: 18.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists per game.
- Ernest Udeh Jr., C: 6.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists per game.
- Treyvon Maddox, SF: 0.0 points, 0.0 rebounds, 0.0 assists per game. Maddox is in the transfer portal after not appearing in a game last season.Â
Miami is losing 25.6 points, 15.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game from its current departing frontcourt. Udeh was Miami's main rim protector, so while the offensive numbers don't jump off the page, his defensive impact will need to be replaced this offseason.
