Jacksonville Mandarin wide receiver Brysen Wright, ranked as the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2028 Rivals Industry Rankings, has cut his list to Florida, Texas and Miami and will announce his commitment on Thursday.

Brysen Wright includes Miami in final 3 schools

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound junior has been one of the most closely watched prospects in the cycle for more than a year.

In addition to being the top wide receiver in the Rivals Industry Rankings, Wright is ranked as the No. 1 WR and No. 1 player in Florida in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

As a freshman in 2024, he caught 31 passes for 646 yards and eight touchdowns while helping the Mustangs win a district title.

As a sophomore in 2025, he posted 44 receptions for 962 yards and 10 touchdowns in the regular season despite frequent double coverage. He also recorded 55 tackles and five interceptions.

In his junior season, Wright has been on a tear, putting up 46 catches for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns so far this season. On defense he has 26 tackles, two interceptions and one TFL.

Through his entire high school career, he has totaled 121 receptions for 2,592 yards and 29 receiving TDs.

Wright's high school teammate, quarterback Knox Annis, is already committed to Miami in the 2028 class and has publicly recruited him to join the Hurricanes. The general consensus is that the Hurricanes are the leader among the three remaining schools.

If he does commit to Miami, there is a good chance that he will reclassify to the 2027 class. Canes fans have seen this happen more often over the last few years, with the biggest example being Malachi Toney. Considering his high school production so far, Wright is most likely ready for a new challenge and would be able to handle enrolling early.
