In some concerning news, Miami Hurricanes tight end Elijah Arroyo is not working out at the NFL Combine due to a knee injury at the Senior Bowl, per Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. The NFL Draft stock for Arroyo went up during practices for the Senior Bowl. Arroyo caught a two-point conversion pass at the Senior Bowl. Rapoport expects Arroyo to be ready for the Miami Pro Day on March 24.
After missing most of his sophomore and junior seasons, Arroyo had 35 receptions for 590 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024. The NFL Mock Draft Database lists Arroyo 60th on their consensus big board. Arroyo led all TEs nationally in 2024 averaging 9.9 yards after the catch per Pro Football Focus
Jordan Plocher of PFF said, "Arroyo showed off his size, skill and athleticism at theSenior Bowl practices, impressing all week." Not being able to compete at the NFL Combine will put added importance and pressure on Arroyo at the Miami Pro Day on March 24.
Arroyo is the No. 4 TE in the 2025 NFL Draft by PFF. The expectations for Arroyo in the NFL are far higher for his prowess as a receiver than a blocker. Arroyo is one of several NFL Combine invitees who are not participating in Indianapolis for various reasons.

Elijah Arroyo won't workout at the NFL Combine due to a knee injury
Not participating in the NFL Combine provides Arroyo another four weeks to heal from the injury he suffered during Senior Bowl week. Pro Football Talk reported, "Arroyo could go as early as the second round depending on his medical evaluation at the Combine."
The medical exams for Arroyo heading to the NFL Draft will be critical after playing in only 11 games combined with six receptions for 77 yards in the 2022 and 2023 seasons combined. Arroyo will hope to become the latest Miami player to contribute to the Hurricanes being known as a stud TE at the next level.
