Miami will enshrine three program greats into its Ring of Honor at halftime of Saturday's game against Stanford: wide receiver Andre Johnson, left tackle Bryant McKinnie and linebacker Dan Morgan. The school announced the Class of 2025 in April and reiterated the induction timing this week. The Ring of Honor, established in 1997, is the department's highest accolade for a player or coach.

Andre Johnson

Johnson, a track champion turned elite receiver, caught 92 passes for 1,831 yards and 20 TDs in three seasons and shared 2002 Rose Bowl MVP honors with QB Ken Dorsey after a 199-yard, two-touchdown performance. Drafted No. 3 overall by Houston in 2003, Johnson produced 14,185 receiving yards over 14 NFL seasons and in 2024 became the first Houston Texan inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Bryant McKinnie

McKinnie anchored the 2000–01 offensive line and did not allow a sack in two seasons at left tackle. He was a two-time first-team All-American, won the 2001 Outland Trophy, went seventh overall to the Vikings in 2002 and later won Super Bowl XLVII with Baltimore.

Dan Morgan

Morgan started four years (1997–2000) and is Miami's career tackles leader (532) β€” the only Cane with 100-plus stops in four straight seasons. In 2000 he became the first player in college football history to sweep the Bednarik, Butkus and Lombardi awards. A first-round pick (No. 11) in 2001, Morgan is now the Carolina Panthers' president of football operations and GM.

Now, if you have followed the Ring of Honor for Miami, you might ask: Where is Ken Dorsey? Dorsey is a part of the 2025 Miami Ring of Honor Class and will be honored at a later date.

Saturday's ceremony will raise Miami's Ring of Honor membership to 31 (28 players β€” including Dorsey β€” and three coaches).
