• Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney are coming off of a great season-opening performance. Mensah completed 27 of 30 passes for 401 yards and five touchdowns and Toney caught 12 passes for a school-record 234 yards and three scores.
• Miami is home for the first time after a Friday night trip to the West Coast. Florida A&M is playing its second game at Hard Rock Stadium in five days.
• Starting cornerback OJ Frederique Jr. is out for a while after a significant left shoulder injury on the second snap against Stanford. Damari Brown, Xavier Lucas and Ethan O'Connor have to cover the outside until he and Ja'Boree Antoine return.

1. Miami will want to make sure they stay healthy

The Hurricanes have already lost Frederique for a stretch of the season. The job for Miami is to play fast, get the backups in, and leave without any injuries.

2. The running backs could feast

Mark Fletcher Jr., CharMar Brown, Girard Pringle Jr. and freshman Javian Mallory all played at Stanford in a pass-heavy opener. They would look to take advantage of a Florida A&M defense that just allowed 292 rushing yards to South Carolina State.

3. Short week for FAMU and Miami

FAMU already played at Hard Rock on Sunday and the Hurricanes have had a cross-country flight and are also on a short turnaround.
