It is officially the day, the Miami Hurricanes, a team many doubted would even make the College Football Playoff, are set to take on the Ole Miss Rebels in the Semifinals of the CFP. Carson Beck and company will take on an Ole Miss team that has something to prove, not just the college football world, but their former coach, Lane Kiffin.

Both teams have had their fair share of drama since the start of the postseason. Miami was the team that bumped Notre Dame out of the College Football Playoff, and it was the biggest storyline of the bracket reveal. Ole Miss has gone through a lot since their regular season ended with head coach Lane Kiffin making the move to LSU.

Neither team let the noise affect them and are now one game away from the National Championship.

Miami vs. Ole Miss final predictions for CFP Semifinal

Miami took down Ohio State, the reigning National Champions, in the Quarterfinals, and Ole Miss took down the Georgia Bulldogs, both teams that many felt had the best chance to win it all this season. Clearly, they must have been too good if they lost in their first games after their bye week.

This is going to be a very physical game as both teams have some great defenses that were able to shut down their opponents in the Quarterfinals. The best thing about this matchup, though, is that these are two very complete teams with great offenses as well. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss will be a tough QB to bring down.

However, Carson Beck is playing some of the best football in his college career right now. This is going to be a very close game that could very well come down to the wire. Miami just might have a little extra fuel in the tank to be able to lead a final drive down the field and hit a game-winning field goal to get back to the National Championship game in 23 years.
