After getting the first two Miami hitters in the top of the eighth inning, Moore allowed consecutive HRs by Derek Williams and Alex Sosa.

Payton Manca replaced Moore after the Sosa HR. Florida State cut the deficit to 4-3 with a Hunter Carns RBI single and Cmeyla sacrifice fly. Miami got the three-run lead back in the ninth. Vance Sheehan had an RBI single and he scored on a double steal and an error by Florida State.

Miami was run-ruled 11-1 on Friday after a devastating 7-6, 11-inning loss in the series opener on Thursday. The Hurricanes used six pitchers on Saturday, with starter Lorenzo Collera allowing four runs in 2.2 innings. Florida State scored three runs in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth after Miami scored in the first inning.

The Seminoles scored five runs in the eighth inning to earn the walk-off run-rule victory. Seven batters for Florida State drove in runs and seven had hits on Friday. Miami will be the sixth seed in the ACC Tournament and play the winner of the fourth game on Tuesday between the 11th and 14th seeds.
