Not long ago, plenty of Miami Hurricanes fans were pretty fired up when the news came in that 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell included the Canes in his Top 6. Not only that, but Cantwell will also be taking an official visit to Coral Gables later this year.
As it turns out, he'll be on campus next month. According to On3's Steve Wiltfong, Cantwell is planning on taking unofficial visits in March to Miami, Ohio State and Michigan. This means that head coach Mario Cristobal will get an extra opportunity to impress the elite prospect in person.

5-star OT Jackson Cantwell will visit Miami in March
In addition to Miami, Ohio State and Michigan, Cantwell also has Missouri, Georgia and Oregon as his finalists - he'll also be taking officials to all six schools. The good news, however, is that Miami will indeed be getting an early chance to turn Cantwell's head.
He's the definition of elite prospect. Cantwell is ranked the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country and No. 1 player overall according to the 247Sports Composite. Throughout his recruitment, he has picked up offers from more than 30 programs. Miami is making him a top priority for this class and for good reason.
You can never recruit too many offensive linemen. Cristobal and his staff have done a stellar job of not only landing big-time talent, but also developing them after they sign. This is what the Miami faithful is hoping can be the case with Cantwell.
There's no timeline for when the 2026 standout will be shutting down his recruitment and announcing a commitment, but things are starting to take shape a bit here. Ryan Day and Sherrone Moore will roll out the red carpet for Cantwell as well for those unofficials to Ohio State and Michigan, but Cristobal and Miami will be set to make sure he has a memorable time in Miami as well.
