Miami defensive back Keionte Scott is getting some love as NFL draft season ramps up. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah wrote this week that Scott is "an easy one to fall in love with" after watching the tape.
"Miami CB Keionte Scott is an easy one to fall in love with after studying his game-- speed, instincts, toughness & tackling. He's 24 but I don't see that as a big issue. He's ready made."Daniel Jeremiah

Daniel Jeremiah shows love to Keionte Scott ahead of NFL draft
The age part is a concern, but Jeremiah turned it into a positive by saying Scott is "ready made." Scott arrived at Miami after spending three seasons at Auburn, where he made 23 starts and played in 33 games, and he began his college career at Snow College. He wass a sixth-year redshirt senior defensive back and is 24 years old.
Scott's one season in Coral Gables helped his draft stock immensely. He posted 64 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, five pass breakups and two interceptions returned for touchdowns. One of the scores came in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the Cotton Bowl against Ohio State.
Scott missed the final three games of the regular season with a foot injury, then returned for the CFP and delivered one of his best all-around performances in the opener against Texas A&M, when he posted 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble.
Scott was a second-team All-ACC selection and a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist as well.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Scott as his No. 10 cornerback in his 2026 draft position rankings. Now, with Jeremiah seemingly on board, Scott can really start to build steam in the draft process if he tests well at the Combine.
