Cardale Jones, one of the greatest two-game wonders in college football, has something to say. Jones, who rode the sidecar while Ezekiel Elliott did most of the heavy lifting to lead the Ohio State Buckeyes to a CFP title in 2014, had a steaming hot take a few years ago when Miami was beginning to have some success. Of course, that take mirrored much of his pro career as a quarterback — he missed the mark.
And apparently he's back for more, whatever that means. Miami will play Ohio State in an CFP quarterfinal game from the Cotton Bowl on December 31 from AT&T Stadium, so I assume we'll hear plenty more from Jones and other former Buckeyes that don't have anything else better to do.

My favorite thing about the "I said what I said" comment is the acknowledgment that what was said was incredibly stupid and completely wrong, but he's sticking by it because of sheer ignorance. This is par for the course of someone who made it clear he didn't "play" school.
Jones has no clue what he's talking about
Why Jones, who never threw a single pass against Miami in his entire life, has such strong opinions about the Hurricanes and the players that choose to play for them is beyond me. And his opinion that the Hurricanes coaching staff was bad, and the program wasn't stable came from a place of zero knowledge.
Talking trash is fine. If Jones wants to say that Carson Beck is overrated or Malachi Toney isn't as good as Jeremiah Smith, that's an opinion that anyone can give and it doesn't matter. Instead, Jones was speaking about things he had no clue about and, by 2023, had no personal experience to speak on.
Why Miami has been living rent-free in Jones' head for so long is beyond me. I don't think he was ever recruited by the Hurricanes, and he never played against the Hurricanes. It's possible that Jones is just seeking attention, but don't expect Jones' comments hanging from some bulletin board around the Miami locker room for the players to read. There are some opinions and comments to take seriously, but Jones just isn't one of them.
