Is this going to be the season where everything lines up perfectly for Miami football and head man Mario Cristobal? So far, things have been pretty stellar, as the Hurricanes are 3-0 on the year and people are still riding high following the win over Notre Dame in Week 1.

On top of that, a lot of analysts had Miami on 'upset alert' last week going up against ranked USF, which had recently taken down previously-ranked Florida. Miami dominated and Carson Beck put on a show. Following that win, the Canes are now the No. 4 team in the country.

Next up on the schedule is a showdown with rival Florida and another head-turning win could be on the way. If you ask the one and only Pat McAfee, things are looking great for the program. Not only that, but McAfee didn't hesitate in saying what a lot of Miami fans have on their minds : The U is back.

McAfee didn't hold back in hyping up Cristobal too and rightfully so. After Cam Ward was brilliant last season, Miami brought in Beck to lead the offense and he's been better than a lot of us thought he would be through the first three games of the year.

Beck is on a bit of a revenge tour, as a lot of people claimed that he was overrated with Georgia and that he wasn't going to be able to produce for Cristobal in 2025. All of the haters out there are now enjoying some humble pie thanks to how solid Beck has been.

On defense, how about some love for defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman? He was previously the DC at Minnesota, but Crisotbal hired him this past offseason to completely change things for the Miami defense. Hetherman is passing the test early on.

Against Florida, the Canes can make things even worse for Billy Napier, with his seat sizzling hot. Florida fans and alums are calling for him to get fired and if a lopsided loss is posted, he could be out the door before we know it. Miami isn't worried about Napier. What the locker room is worried about is taking down its in-state rival and improving to 4-0. Should that happen, even more people will embrace the idea that the U is back.
