It's that time of the year where Mario Cristobal and Miami may take a little time off, but the staff also fully understands that recruiting never sleeps. Because of that, Cristobal is putting in serious work in connecting with 2027 targets.

On3's top impact transfer for Miami is not who fans might think

A name that Miami fans are going to need to keep a close eye on moving forward is no question 4-star offensive lineman Jordan Agbanoma. The Canes have been quite high on him for some time and the feeling is mutual. The touted lineman made that much clear while speaking to reporter EJ Holland about his recruitment as a whole:

4-star OL Jordan Agbanoma is quite high on Miami with his recruitment heating up

"I'm interested in Miami because they dominate," Agbanoma told Holland in the video above. "They win. That's really it honestly. I love the coaching - Coach (Alex) Mirabal, Coach (Mario) Cristobal, they're amazing."

Mirabal is widely considered one of the best offensive line coaches in the country and he's been doing work for Cristobal out on the recruiting trail. Obviously, him and Cristobal are making quite the impact on Agbanoma, who has powerhouses from all over the country chasing his verbal pledge.

According to the 247Sports Composite, the 6-3, 295-pounder is ranked four stars, the No. 5 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 77 prospect overall for '27. In addition to Miami, he has tenders from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Ohio State, North Carolina, Tennessee and many others.

With him being a Loganville, Ga. product, Georgia fans are hoping that Kirby Smart will be able to keep him home to play for the Dawgs. However, Miami is making Agbanoma a top priority and they're going to keep letting him know he's high on their board. Once he starts setting up official visits, the hope for Cristobal will be that Agbanoma will hop on a plane and make his way towards Coral Gables. If he does, it will only help Miami's chances of posting a huge recruiting win here.
