Myson Johnson-Cook is set to make one of the next big recruiting decisions on Miami's board, and the Hurricanes appear to have momentum heading into the weekend. The East St. Louis, Illinois, standout will announce live with Rivals at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 25.
Johnson-Cook's finalists are Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Miami and Ole Miss. He logged 1,341 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on 126 carries in 12 games last season.

Top 2027 RB target Myson Johnson-Cook nears commitment with Miami trending
Johnson-Cook returned to Coral Gables for his third visit of the spring ahead of his announcement, after first getting to Miami in early March and then coming back for the program's spring pool-party weekend.Â
Per 247Sports, Miami currently holds 100% of the Crystal Ball predictions for Johnson-Cook.
The Rivals Industry Ranking has Johnson-Cook No. 40 overall in the 2027 cycle, No. 3 among RBs in the class and No. 1 overall in Illinois. The 247Sports Composite ranks him No. 46 nationally and No. 4 among running backs.Â
As of right now, Miami does not have a running back committed in the 2027 class (the positions the Canes have: QB, EDGE, OT, ATH, DL, S, WR and OT).
