Where is Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward going to land for next season and beyond? That's the question fans across the country are wondering, as plenty of signs are pointing to the standout QB being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
While there's buzz that Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter or Shedeur Sanders could end up hearing their names called first, the Vegas oddsmakers continue to have Ward as the favorite to take the stage first once draft night gets here.
At the same time, it's not a lock that he'll be Nashville-bound if that turns out to be the case. Trade speculation continues to arrive, with the Tennessee Titans looking to potentially trade out of the top spot. Might that open up the door for the New York Jets to move up several spots and bring Ward to town?
Grain of salt season, but that'd be a no-brainer trade for the #Titans https://t.co/GxgcSByzpm

Cam Ward remains the favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft
There's so much uncertainty with the draft still two months away, but any team sure would be lucky to have Ward running their offense moving forward. In the case of the Jets, who hold the No. 7 overall pick, going all-in to move up and draft Ward would make a ton of sense for the AFC East side.
The Jets have said goodbye to Aaron Rodgers, as the blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers could not have turned out worse for them. Now, the front office is back to square one in terms of finding a signal-caller who can help this team get back to the postseason.
Another team nearby would be wise to make a push for Ward too. That'd be the New York Giants, as Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are on proverbial lifeboats trying to save their careers in East Rutherford. John Mara is running out of patience with both of them.
Word around NFL circles is that the G-Men might look to trade for Matthew Stafford, which would put a band-aid on things for NYG at quarterback. Instead, plenty of fans are calling for Schoen to do whatever is needed to select either Ward or Sanders.
Either way, the Giants and Jets both being desperate for a new QB1 is nothing for the Titans to worry about. If anything, they'll use that to their advantage when it comes to negotiations if Tennessee indeed plans to shop that top pick. Regardless, Ward will be ready to ball out for whoever gives him a jersey to rock starting next fall. He'll also make teams regret passing on him if he somehow ends up sliding in the first round.
