Tennessee Titans WR Xavier Restrepo just made the Miami Hurricanes faithful proud

Xavier Restrepo made the Tennessee Titans' initial 53-man roster Sunday, a year after going undrafted out of Miami and spending most of his rookie season on the practice squad.

In four seasons at Miami he caught 200 passes for 2,844 yards and 21 touchdowns.

The Titans kept six wide receivers: Calvin Ridley, Wan'Dale Robinson, first-round pick Carnell Tate, Elic Ayomanor, Chimere Dike and Restrepo. He won the last spot over Bryce Oliver, Mason Kinsey and K.J. Osborn, who were among the receivers waived.

He led Tennessee in preseason receiving with eight catches for 97 yards. On Saturday against the Chicago Bears, when starters sat, Restrepo caught four passes for 71 yards in a 24-15 loss.

He spent most of last season on the practice squad and finished with three catches for 41 yards in two active games before an ankle injury shut down his year.

A big reason Restrepo went undrafted in 2025 was because of his 40-yard dash. He skipped the run at the combine and then unofficially timed 4.80 and 4.83 seconds at Miami's pro day.

Those numbers were shocking, considering that he was so productive in college, and they ended up burying the 5-foot-10 slot receiver on draft boards.

It hasn't been the easiest ride for Restepo, but for a WR who was just barely on the roster last season, it is nice to see him secure a spot on the team. And while Cam Ward may have helped facilitate his progression with the team, he deserves the praise. He showed up in the preseason, put together positive practice tape and made a name for himself on an NFL roster.

The Titans invested in the weapon around Ward for this upcoming season, so it remains to be seen what capacity Restrepo will be used. But this is still a major accomplishment for Restrepo as he now looks to establish himself on Sundays.
