In a matchup of two top twenty programs, the Miami Hurricanes looked every bit of a top five caliber program by dismantling the South Florida Bulls, 49-12, despite an inclement weather warning and over an hour-long game stoppage due to the weather threat. The Hurricanes were clicking on all cylinders, on offense, defense, and special teams.

If the Canes can continue to play physical and disciplined, then there will not become any doubt that the Miami Hurricanes will be amongst the programs qualifying for the coveted ACC Championship game, as well as the College Football Playoffs. It was amazing how the offense methodically marched the ball down-the-field for a score on the team's first drive. Although the game lasted considerably long, the Hurricanes were unphased by the uncontrollable circumstances of severe weather that sent both teams into the locker room.

From the genesis of the game, another receiving target emerged. His name is Joshua Moore. The talented wide receiver option for the Miami Hurricanes caught two touchdowns. Quarterback, Carson Beck played another solid game, despite throwing his first two interceptions of the season. Beck went 23/28 in completions, while recording three passing scores for 340 yards.

Sensational Miami Hurricanes running back, Mark Fletcher, Jr., brought toughness and power, when he looked like a "man among boys", by running through South Florida's defense. The talented back had 120 yards on 16 carries and scored twice. It was exciting how Fletcher, Jr. broke through the middle of the Bulls defense time-after-time, and his thirty-eight-yard scamper is worth putting on a Miami Hurricanes highlight reel. Fletcher, Jr.'s style of running is reminiscent of the type of runs that former University of Miami running back, Melvin Bratton, used to display on those talented and dominant Hurricanes teams in the 1980s.

Do not forget about the defense, which recorded two sacks, four tackles for loss, one pass deflection, and two interceptions. Thus far, the Miami Hurricanes look like a balanced, energetic, and well-coached team. This preponderant win against an improved and top twenty-ranked program, will hopefully help the Hurricanes build more confidence, which will become needed in the upcoming weeks.
