Miami takes on Texas A&M in the first round of the CFP
Beck and Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed are tied for 17th nationally in 2025 with 10 interceptions thrown. The Miami defense is 33rd with 12 interceptions in 2025. Six of Beck's 10 interceptions thrown in 2025 came in Miami's two losses.
Beck threw four interceptions against Louisville in a 24-21 loss on October 17. Louisville is 15th nationally in 2025 with 14 interceptions. SMU, seventh nationally with 17 interceptions, picked off Beck twice in a 26-20 overtime win on November 1.
The three Texas A&M interceptions came in three different games in 2025. Texas A&M opponents have thrown 62 consecutive passes without an interception in the last two-plus games. The Aggies are 65th in recovering six fumbles by opponents during the 2025 season.

The Hurricanes have a plus-13 turnover margin in wins this season. South Florida, Louisville and SMU have been the only games Miami has had at least two turnovers this season.

The 26-7 Miami win over Florida is the only game in which the Hurricanes did not produce a turnover this season. Miami produced only one turnover against Louisville, SMU, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh during the 2025 regular season.
Miami produced two or three turnovers in its other seven games during the regular season. The Hurricanes finished 28th nationally, recovering 12 fumbles in 2025. If Miami can pressure Reed and force him to make bad decisions, they will significantly increase its chance of winning at Texas A&M.
Winning the turnover margin will provide Miami with an increased chance to take the crowd of over 102,000 out of the game. Miami has only two turnovers in its last four games. If Miami wins the turnover margin against Texas A&M, the Hurricanes will have an excellent chance of advancing to the CFP quarterfinal.
