If you want to watch the Miami Hurricanes play for the college football national championship in their home stadium, it's going to cost you.

After the Hurricanes' 31-27 win over Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl, the ticket prices for next Monday's College Football Playoff championship game spiked to over $3,000 for the highest sections. The listed prices on the secondary market to watch the game in the club sections spiked to $8,000 and above.

Obviously, these prices won't hold at this rate and a lot of this resulted from brokers trying to make a quick big profit off of the Hurricanes' victory last night, but it does offer an example of how hot a ticket the national championship game will be. Miami is in a college football championship game for the first time since the 2002 season.

For locally-based Miami fans that have been on the full journey from College Station, Texas to Arilington, Texas to Glendale, Arizona, they can at least avoid the additional costs of travel and accommodations, but ticket prices like these show the strain that a deep playoff run can make on the bank account.

Who will Miami play in the CFP championship game?

The Hurricanes will play the winner of tonight's Peach Bowl between Indiana and Oregon. The Hoosiers are the No. 1 seed in the CFP and earn their spot in the semifinals with a 38-3 win over Alabama in the Rose Bowl. Oregon has already played in Hard Rock Stadium once this postseason, beating Texas Tech 23-0 in the Orange Bowl on January 1. The Ducks' playoff run started with a win over James Madison in the first round.

Oregon is in the expanded CFP playoffs for the second straight year. The Ducks were the No. 1 seed last season, but got eliminated by Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. Oregon played for a national championship in the 2010 and 2014 seasons, losing both times.

Indiana is also in the expanded CFP for consecutive years. Last year, the Hoosiers were the No. 10seed, and they were eliminated by Notre Dame in the first round.
