The docuseries, produced by Firebrand Media Group, follows Ward’s journey from an under-the-radar high school quarterback with just one Division I FCS offer to becoming the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and a cornerstone for the Tennessee Titans. The show grants unprecedented access to Ward’s personal life, featuring interviews with him, his family, coaches, teammates and raw archival footage that captures his rise. “Being overlooked … it was a blessing and a curse. I overcame the curse by turning adversity into strength and I have played with nothing to lose," Ward said.
The series traces pivotal chapters in Ward’s ascent from missed recruiting opportunities, record-setting performances at University of the Incarnate Word, his breakout at Miami (where he became a Heisman finalist), and ultimately Draft night.
The Cam Ward Story
At Columbia High School, he operated in a run-heavy Wing-T offense, posting 948 passing yards and 8 TDs as a senior. Coming out of high school he had a zero-star rating.
Starting out at Incarnate Word, he claimed the starting QB role as a freshman, winning the 2020 Jerry Rice Award after passing for 2,260 yards and 24 TDs in six games. In 2021, he elevated his play by throwing for 4,648 yards and 47 TDs, earning Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
After two years, he went to Washington State. He started 25 games over two seasons with 6,963 passing yards, 48 passing TD's, 13 rushing TD's and a 65.5 % completion rate.
Ward then ransferred to Miami in 2024 to enhance his NFL prospects. He delivered a breakout season and garnered national accolades, including winning the Davey O’Brien Award, Manning Award, ACC Player of the Year, and earning first-team All-ACC as well as Consensus All-American honors.
