The Miami Hurricanes are bringing the stars to Charlotte.
ACC Media Days begin Wednesday morning and shortly after Jim Phillips tries to convince everyone that the conference is in a great position within the landscape of college football, it will be time for the Hurricanes to take the stage. Mario Cristobal will speak with the media, and he will be joined by Malachi Toney, Mark Fletcher Jr. and Darian Mensah.

I am a little surprised that Cristobal didn't have a player on defense among the three, like Damon Wilson II or Justin Scott, but no one can argue with the choices that were made.
3 things to expect from Mario Cristobal and Miami at ACC Media Day
It's all about 'The U' on Wednesday morning in Charlotte and expect the Hurricanes to make a lot of news during their hour-long block on ACC Media Day. Here's what to look for:
Darian Mensah will face some familiar faces
Mensah's transfer from Duke to Miami was the talk of the portal season, and now he'll face a media group where a good percentage of the writers will be from North Carolina. These are writers that followed the complicated story about his transfer and will have plenty of questions. Mensah could've easily decided to kick the can down the road and wait until the Hurricanes play the Blue Devils on November 14, when the story will be out of the news cycle. But he is going to address things today, and we'll see how he handles some of these tough questions.

Mario Cristobal will be asked about the future of the ACC
Cristobal wants to keep his session about things happening on the field, but that's unlikely. There's so much going on in college football right now and Cristobal's voice means a lot more since Miami will clearly have a seat at the table if the SEC and Big Ten decide to continue their expansion assault on the sport. The Hurricanes coach probably doesn't have a lot of answers, but we'll see if he acknowledges the uncertain future of the ACC along with expanded playoffs, the NIL legislature that Congress is trying to push through and many other off-the-field items.
Mark Fletcher and Malachi Toney will talk about staying home
Fletcher and Toney are both from the tri-county area in South Florida and represent the next generation of Miami Hurricanes that decided to stay home and help the local program return to glory. Both players had a prominent role in last year's run to the CFP championship, and they had to deal with the disappointment of falling short on their home field. Expect Fletcher and Toney to talk about how important the Hurricanes' resurgence has been for the community and the legacy they want to have in Coral Gables.
