Pittsburgh at 4 Penn State 3:30 ET ABC

Pittsburgh has one of the most dangerous players in the country in all-purpose wide receiver Quadree Henderson. Henderson had nine carries for 77 yards and one reception for seven in the season opening 28-21 overtime win over Youngstown State.

Running back Qadree Wilson led the Panthers offense. He finished with 22 carries for 91 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 35 yards.

The Panthers defense struggled in 2016. Facing Penn State this early in the season is a stiff test. The Nittany Lions Trace McSorley and Saquon Barkley make up one of the best quarterback/running back tandems in the country.

Penn State took care of Akron 52-0 in their season opener. McSorley went 18-25 for 280 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Barkley finished the game with 226 yards from scrimmage on 17 touches and two touchdowns.

The Nittany Lions defense held Akron to 159 yards and 12 first downs. Penn State’s DeAndre Hopkins also had an outstanding game on special teams. He returned four kickoffs for a 31.8-yard average and a touchdown.

The game will be a challenge for the Panthers. New quarterback Max Browne did get a chance to see the Nittany Lions up close last season. He was on USC when the Trojans defeated Penn State in the Rose Bowl.

The Miami Hurricanes finish the season at Pittsburgh November 24.
