USA Today expects “Clemson, Florida State storylines (to) dominate ACC media days.”  They also want to see how Rosier can respond to last season’s three-game losing streak to end the season.

USA Today further questioned how Rosier will respond to the pressure of knowing that Perry and Williams are waiting their turn to show their capabilities at quarterback.

"“4. Rosier under pressure The national consensus about Miami has the Hurricanes as title contenders if — and only if — quarterback Malik Rosier improves his game as a senior. Rosier is under significant pressure to deliver. He’s in no real danger of losing his grasp on the starting job before the start of the season, though all bets are off come September. Rosier’s development has a potential trickle-down effect not just in the ACC but across the entire FBS.”"

The biggest question in the ACC and the first one pondered by USA Today was if anyone can unseat three-time defending ACC Champion Clemson. Miami fans will like the answer below about their beloved Hurricanes and rival Florida State.

"1. Who can beat Clemson? “Here’s the elephant in the room for every team but Clemson: Who is capable of ending the Tigers’ run atop the conference? Good luck. The safest bet, relatively speaking, is Miami (Fla.), though the Hurricanes need to address their quarterback situation. Florida State has a new coach, Willie Taggart, but it’s hard to envision a scenario where Taggart has the Seminoles in College Football Playoff contention in his first season.”"

The doubts about Rosier seem to be one of the few about the 2018 Miami football team. There is a lot of confidence in the rest of the Hurricanes.

The importance of Miami’s success has throughout the rest of College Football cannot be understated. Miami matters, in Florida, the ACC and College Football nationally.

If Rosier can deliver this season, the Hurricanes are a serious contender for the College Football Playoff. Can this be the first year that the ACC sends two teams to the College Football Playoff?

Many expect Clemson to play in the playoff for the fourth straight season. If the ACC is going get two teams in, the Hurricanes are likely to be the second team.
