Miami right tackle Francis Mauigoa earned first-team All-American and defensive lineman Rueben Bain and wide receiver Malachi Toney earned second-team from the Associated Press on Monday. Toney previously earned multiple freshman All-American honors this season.
Mauigoa caps his junior season by earning All-American for the first time. Bain, Mauigoa, DL Akheer Mesidor and Toney previously earned first-team All-ACC this season. This is the first All-American honor for Mauigoa. Mauigoa also earned first-team All-American from CBS Sports and On3.
Bain has 37 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, 1.0 forced fumble, 1,0 pass breakup, 1.0 interception and 2.0 passes defended. Bain earned a 93.0 Pro Football Focus grade, tied for the highest among edge defenders and he is the only edge rusher with top 10 run and pass rushing grades.
Toney has 84 receptions for 970 yards and seven touchdowns, 17 carries for 89 yards and a score and has four completions in six attempts for 82 yards and two TDs. Toney holds the Miami freshman record for receptions and receiving yards and is one catch away from the Hurricanes' single-season record.

Pro Football Focus named Toney the best true freshman in college football in 2025. Toney's 90.3 PFF grade was second nationally among WRs to Makai Lemon of USC and he is the second most valuable in the PFF wins above average metric.
Toney does not have any drops in 84 catchable targets and he is first in Power Four with 632 yards after the catch. On a College Football Playoff team, Toney was the clear Miami Most Valuable Player. If he stays at least three years at Miami, Toney should hold most of the Hurricanes' receiving records.
If Miami reaches the second round of the CFP, Toney could become the first Hurricane to have 100 receptions in a single season. That would put Toney exactly halfway to the Miami career record of 200, held by Xavier Restrepo. Toney tied the Miami single-game record with 13 receptions in the regular season finale versus Pittsburgh.
