The Miami Hurricanes have started off this recruiting week with a bang. it started Sunday afternoon when four-star cornerback Ai'King Hall flipped from Oregon to become the 12th commitment in the class. Things continued rolling in the evening when edge rusher Jayvon Dawson committed to the Hurricanes less than two weeks after the Palm Beach County recruit received an offer.
Hopefully those recent developments will help take the bad taste out of the mouths of Hurricane fans after some disappointing news last week. Cristobal continues to push forward and is putting together a group that will rival any of the top recruiting classes in the country.
DE/LB Jayvon Dawson commits as Miami loves upside for 16 year old prospect. Came to Canes games as an unoffered prospect…Has been recorded with a 4.66 40, 38.5 in vertical & 10’7 broad jump. Made major jump on junior production - 68 tackles, 22 TFL, 8 sacks in 10 2025 games.… pic.twitter.com/PV42YNuqGg

The official visits season begins in less than two weeks and by the end of the summer Miami's class should be near completion. There are still a lot of major targets for Cristobal and staff, along with some players committed elsewhere that they are actively trying to flip. Here are three targets that are still on commit watch for Miami as we approach this crucial period of recruiting.
3 recruits that should be on 'commit watch' for Miami
AJ Randle, 4-star linebacker
Randle will be making his announcement Thursday and all signs continue to point to Miami as the school that he will choose. The Hurricanes have been Randle's favorite for a while and still have the edge over other finalists: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio State and N.C. State. Miami is starting to put together the meat of its recruiting class on defense and Randle is expected to be a major part of that. There's still some wiggle room here because Florida has been coming on strong and 72 hours is an eternity in recruiting, but Miami is the good bet here.
Jatori Williams, 4-star offensive lineman
If Williams were making his announcement on Friday as was originally expected, there would be no question that he was going to commit to the Hurricanes. But pushing back his decision to July 4 adds a wrinkle to it. Williams is planning on taking all of his official visits and has one to Coral Gables scheduled for June 5, and it's there that the Miami staff will try to get the former Alabama commit to make a pledge. Williams is a big part of Cristobal's plan to keep a cycle of young talent on the offensive line, so expect the coaching staff to pull out all the stops.
Andre Hyppolite, 3-star defensive back
Hyppolite is one of those local prospects that Cristobal desperately wants to get in the fold. The North Miami Beach recruit has great size (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) and upside that Miami staff believes will pay off in a couple of years when he can play safety full time. Hyppolite lives very close to the Miami campus and has been to spring practices a few times this season. Florida is the big competition here and Jon Sumrall has been working hard to make this a head-to-head battle between the Hurricanes and Gators. Hyppolite will take his official visit to Miami on June 12 and should make his decision shortly after.
