It's a special kind of official visit weekend for Mario Cristobal and Miami, as the Canes are hosting mostly committed prospects in town. However, there are plenty of eyes on tight end target Anthony Cartwright, as Cristobal and his staff are working overtime in trying to land him. Well, it sure looks like he's having a great time in Coral Gables so far.

Cartwright was kind enough to post a video on social media of him having a great time during his visit. The man standing next to him throwing up The U? Why yes, that's Cristobal himself helping out with the recruiting efforts, as he's hoping a memorable weekend will help send things over the top for the 2025 national runner-ups.

Mario Cristobal is working hard for 4-star Anthony Cartwright to commit to Miami
Come on, everything about that video is pretty dang awesome. Cristobal and Cartwright fire up The U and then they both look to be silencing the haters at the same time. If we can say so ourselves, Cartwright looks pretty dang good in a Miami jersey, but it's up in the air right now if he's going to rock with the Canes or not. It could help out that so many future Miami playmakers are in town right now. He's the breakdown of the visitors for the weekend via 247Sports:
• Cartwright (uncommitted)
• defensive lineman Josh Johnson (committed)
• offensive tackle Tyler Ford (committed)
• athlete Sherrod Gourdine (committed)
• pass-rusher Jayvon Dawson (committed)
• pass-rusher Demarcus Deroche (committed)
• safety Jaylyn Jones (committed)
• athlete Ty Keys (committed)
• lineman Jatori Williams (committed)
• quarterback Israel Abrams (committed)
We think it's safe to assume that all those guys will be ready to help out with the recruiting efforts as well. Keep in mind, however, that this is not going to be super easy for Cristobal and the Miami coaches to pull off a big-time recruiting win. Cartwright, a 6-5, 235-pounder, is ranked the four stars and the No. 21 tight end in the country, with 43 offers to his name.
With him being a Franklin, Mich. product, it's important to note too that Michigan State is also putting in serious work to grab his commitment. The same can be said about Oregon and Michigan. Could Cartwright decide to stay closer to home and pick either the Spartans or Wolverines?
That's certainly on the table, but both Oregon and Miami aren't ready to go down without swinging in this battle. And Cristobal getting Cartwright on campus for an official visit could prove to be key for the Canes. As things stand, Miami has 18 pledges for the 2027 class, with that group ranked No. 3 in the country. Cristobal has been on fire and more good news should be coming in soon before you know it. Will that include Cartwright grabbing a seat at the Canes' table with the rest of the studs in town? It's certainly something that could end up going down.
