Miami has a recruiting class that's already hovering around the top ten, and it's been a complete local flavor with all seven commitments within a 90-minute drive from campus.
But nearly every top program in the country recruits Florida and would love to disrupt Miami's class. Notre Dame is no exception and the Irish are hosting defensive back Jaylyn Jones on a visit this weekend to give the four-star prospect something to think about.

The four-star recruit has been committed to the 'Canes since last summer, but the Irish are looking to make a move for Jones👀https://t.co/mHUAtB1gbf pic.twitter.com/4sYGMmhjMp
Jones has been committed to the Hurricanes since June, but that hasn't stopped many other programs from trying to break that pledge. Notre Dame is among a group of schools trying to find an inroad to Jones' recruitment that includes Florida and Maryland.
Miami commitment Jaylyn Jones takes a spring visit to Notre Dame
The seriousness of this visit is yet to be determined, and we'll know more about what Jones felt once it's finished. Jones has been a solid commitment to the Hurricanes for months. As early as last week, Jones was talking about how important it is for him to play close to home and be part of the next group that helps Miami win a championship.
It's also not a bad thing for a player, even a committed one, to take some other visits and see places that they might not see otherwise. Right now, Jones is just taking a spring visit. If Notre Dame is able to lock in an official visit during this trip, that might raise some alarms.
Expect Jones to visit Miami at least one more time before the end of spring practice and when he does, you can expect the coaches to get a little feedback about what he thought of South Bend.
Jones is currently the only defensive back committed in Miami's class, although the recently committed Sherrod Gourdine could also be placed in the secondary. Gourdine and Jones are teammates at McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida.
