Weather forecast for Miami at Texas A&M
This will feel a lot more like early fall in College Station than winter in most of the country. The latest forecast for College Station on Saturday calls for temperatures climbing from the upper 60s around kickoff into the mid to upper 70s by mid-afternoon, with partly sunny skies and only a small chance of precipitation. Winds are expected to stay light, generally under 10 mph, so weather should not be a major factor beyond some warm December sun on the field.

Miami vs. Texas A&M series history
Miami leads the all-time series 3-2 and won the last meeting 48-33 at Hard Rock Stadium in 2023 after Texas A&M had taken the 2022 matchup 17-9 in College Station.
This will be the first time the programs have met in the postseason and the first time Kyle Field has hosted a College Football Playoff game.
Key storylines and matchup notes
Both teams are newcomers to the CFP, but they are not strangers to big stages. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal and quarterback Carson Beck bring national championship experience from previous stops at Alabama and Georgia, while Texas A&M’s Mike Elko has built an 11-1 SEC contender around Reed.
Beck has run a balanced Miami attack that leans on All-America candidate Malachi Toney and a deep stable of backs, while Reed is paired with explosive playmakers like Paul Hornung Award winner KC Concepcion.
Injury-wise, all eyes are on Texas A&M running back Le'Veon Moss. The preseason All-SEC back has not played since suffering a leg and ankle injury in the win over Florida on Oct. 11, and head coach Mike Elko has stayed deliberately vague about his status heading into the CFP. Moss logged 389 rushing yards and six touchdowns in six games before the injury, and his availability may not be clear until closer to kickoff.
