Things are heating up in the debate as to who's the best quarterback prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft. One on side, you have Miami Hurricanes superstar signal-caller Cam Ward. You also have Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, also a big-time talent.

This conversation is going to continue all the way until the Tennessee Titans send in their No. 1 overall pick. People are split, but we no question think Ward should be the one to hear his name called first. It looks like plenty of scouts and execs feels the same way, as Pete Thamel reported that the buzz at the Senior Bowl was that Ward is going to end up being Nashville-bound:

NFL scouts and execs believe Cam Ward will be the No. 1 overall pick

What Ward was able to get done with the Canes this past season was unreal, as he had a historic year for Mario Cristobal and his staff. Unfortunately, however, the year ended with Miami letting the ACC crown slip away and the team had to watch the College Football Playoff from home.

The Canes were one of the top teams in the country in 2024, but the defense let them down in a major way late in the fall. Despite that, it doesn't take away from Ward being an elite playmaker in his final college football season. He transferred in from Washington State and looked brilliant.

In addition to Ward and Sanders, Travis Hunter is also being mentioned as a potential option to go No. 1. However, with how badly the Titans need a QB1 to take over the offense, something tells us it will either be Ward or Sanders who gets the call from Tennessee come draft night. It's not going to be an easy decision for the front office, but don't be shocked if/when it ends up being Ward.
