The month of May has already been pretty dang sensational for Mario Cristobal and Miami out on the recruiting trail and things are only going to get better soon, right? That's the hope with 5-star tackle Mark Matthews, as he's committing on May 15.

Elsewhere, plenty of eyes are on 4-star offensive lineman Jatori Williams, who has locked in his commitment date for May 22. Williams, once previously committed to Alabama, has been quite high on the Canes and fans are feeling quite confident Cristobal will win this recruiting battle.

The guys over at On3 seem to think this is going to happen as well. Some recent predictions have come in for Williams to commit to Miami, as the prediction machine is giving the Canes a 95 percent chance to get some good news from the 6-5, 320-pounder. This gives us a big hint of where he might be playing his college ball.

Miami appears to be in the driver's seat for 4-star DL Jatori Williams

This would quite literally be a massive get for Cristobal if he can pull things off here, as Williams' size alone stands out. He's also one heck of a football player at the high school level, picking up more than 20 offers throughout his recruitment thus far.

Leading up to his May 22 decision, the Alabama product is down to Miami, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida State, Auburn and Alabama. With him being a stud for Central Phenix High in Alabama, you'd think either the Crimson Tide or Auburn would be the favorites to land him, but it's Miami who has been turning his head the most.

Could things change leading up to when he announces? Maybe, but Cristobal has got to be feeling pretty darn good right now. Should Williams indeed pick The U, he'd become the fourth known pledge for Miami in May alone - he'd be the fifth if Matthews does commit to the Canes over Texas A&M.

In recent weeks, Miami has added pledges from 5-star cornerback Donte Wright, a Georiga flip, 4-star defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile and 4-star athlete Ty Keys. Overall, the 2027 haul holds 11 pledges, which is currently ranked No. 11 in the country per 247Sports.

Cristobal is on his grind to keep that list growing and there are certainly plenty of players who continue to be on commit watch for the ACC powerhouse. Yes, countless eyes are on Matthews, but Williams is getting ready for his life-changing call. No one should be surprised if he throws on a Miami hat, though, as the Canes are in a strong spot.
