There's simply no question that Miami and Mario Cristobal are still fired up right now, as the Canes were able to pull off a MAJOR recruiting win on Thursday night. In case you missed it, wideout Nick Lennear gave Miami the news they were hoping for, with him committing during an unofficial visit.

Coral Gables was packed for the popular '305 Day,' with Lennear deciding no more time needed to pass for him to shut down his recruitment. Think Mario was jacked up? Take a look at the video below and you'll be able to see what that moment meant to him. It's safe to say Miami fans are still smiling from ear to ear as well:

Clip of Mario Cristobal celebrating the Nick Lennear commitment is gold
As you can see, Cristobal broke out into a huge smile and didn't hesitate in throwing up The U right after Lennear let everyone know where he was going to be playing his college ball. Everything about that 23-second clip is total gold.
For a little while now, the expectation has been that the speedster was going to pick Miami. Earlier this month, Lennear revealed a Top 5 of Miami, Syracuse, Florida State, LSU and Texas A&M. Many of us thought he might take several trips before shutting things down.
However, the experience for 305 Day was more than enough for him to let Cristobal know he wants to be a stud in the ACC. With him being a standout for Miami Carol City High too, it really felt like only a matter of time before the local prospect picked the Canes.
And once again, this is a massive get for Cristobal. Per the 247Sports Composite, the 5-11, 165-pounder is ranked five stars, the No. 3 wide receiver in the country and the No. 12 player overall for the 2027 class. He's got college superstar written all over him and he'll be donning a Miami jersey when he takes his game to the next level.
