Leesburg, Georgia, four-star receiver Jaden Upshaw will announce his commitment on April 15, with Alabama, Florida, Miami and Texas A&M making the final cut. Jaden Upshaw has Miami among four finalists ahead of April 15 decision

Upshaw narrowed things down from more than 25 Power 4 offers over the last two years, and he is expected to visit Tuscaloosa next week in what could be his final trip before the decision.

Over the last two seasons at Lee County, Upshaw has totaled 110 receptions for 1,744 yards and 19 touchdowns. He finished the 2025 season with 47 catches for 902 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games after missing some time because due to injury. As a sophomore in 2024, he posted 63 receptions for 842 yards and 11 scores.

The Hurricanes already hold a commitment from five-star receiver Nick Lennear in the 2027 class, and 247Sports has Lennear ranked No. 16 nationally. Adding Upshaw would give Miami another top-100 receiver.

Jaden Upshaw has a family connection with Miami

Upshaw is the younger cousin of current Miami wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw. At Miami, Upshaw had a limited but promising freshman season in 2025. He saw increased action late in the year before a season-ending injury, played in six games, and posted seven catches for 105 yards.

His college debut came against Bethune-Cookman, where he had three receptions for 26 yards, and his longest catch went for 41 yards against Syracuse.

As a recruit in the 2025 class, Upshaw was a productive receiver at Central Phenix City in Alabama. The 247Sports Composite had him ranked No. 67 at wide receiver and as the No. 19 player in Alabama.
