Alabama, Florida, Miami, Michigan and LSU tied for sixth with seven players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Miami draftees were led by quarterback Cam Ward, selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans. Ward became the first Miami player to be selected first overall since defensive tackle Russell Maryland by Dallas in 1991.

Ohio State led all college football programs with 14 players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Georgia was second with 13 players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, followed by Texas with 12, Oregon with 10 and Mississippi with eight.

Tight end Elijah Arroyo became the second Miami player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday when he was drafted 50th overall in the second round by the Seattle Seahawks. Arroyo was followed by five Miami players who were selected from the fifth through seventh rounds in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Offensive tackle Jalen Rivers became the next Miami alum selected in the 2025 NFL Draft when he was taken 153rd overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round. Linebacker Francisco Mauigoa followed Rivers when he was the 162nd pick overall in the fifth round to the New York Jets.

Edge rusher Tyler Baron was the last pick of the fifth round and 176th overall, also taken by the Jets. Baron will be a teammate of LSU tight end Mason Taylor, the son of his position coach with Miami, Jason Taylor. Taylor was selected 42nd overall by the Jets in the second round on Friday night.

Kicker Andres Borregales was the sixth Miami draftee in 2025, 182nd overall in the sixth round by the New England Patriots. Borregales will compete for a roster spot with John Parker Romo who New England signed to its practice squad in December.

Running back Damien Martinez was the seventh and final 2025 draftee, 223rd overall in the seventh round. Martinez will join Arroyo with the Seattle Seahawks. Seattle has become a frequent destination for Miami in recent seasons. Seattle drafted Miami RBs Travis Homer in the sixth round in 2019 and DeeJay Dallas in 2020.

The seven drafted players from Miami were the most Hurricanes selected in the same NFL Draft since nine were selected in 2017 after Mark Richt's first season as head coach. With Mario Cristobal as head coach, Miami should continue to produce draft classes that are among the biggest nationally.
