The Miami Hurricanes had a notable presence in the 2025 NFL Draft, with seven players selected over the three-day event held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This marks the program's highest number of draft picks since 2017.

QB Cam Ward headlines as No. 1 Pick

The Tennessee Titans chose Cam Ward, who transferred to Miami for the 2024 season, after he led the Hurricanes to a top-ranked offense and was a Heisman Trophy finalist. Ward's college journey included stints at Incarnate Word and Washington State before his final season at Miami. Last year, he was named ACC Player of the Year and earned consensus All-American honors.

TE Elijah Arroyo goes on Day 2

Tight end Elijah Arroyo was picked 50th overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the second round. He was the only Miami player to be selected on Day 2. Despite battling injuries during his college career, Arroyo put it all together in the 2024 season. The Seahawks, and perhaps some other teams, would have had Arroyo higher on their boards if he did not have an injury history.

Hurricanes sprinkled throughout Day 3

Five Hurricanes were selected on the final day of the draft. OL Jalen Rivers was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round (153rd overall). Rivers' versatility, having played both guard and tackle positions, adds valuable depth to the Bengals' offensive line as they look to keep QB Joe Burrow upright.

Linebacker Francisco Mauigoa went to the New York Jets in the fifth round (162nd overall). Mauigoa recorded 96 tackles and 11 tackles for loss in his final season at Miami. EDGE Tyler Baron was also selected by the Jets in the fifth round (176th overall). Baron recorded 5.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss in 2024.

Kicker Andres Borregales was picked by the New England Patriots in the sixth round (182nd overall). Borregales, a two-time First-team All-ACC selection, made 18 of 19 field goal attempts in 2024. He was the first kicker selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Running back Damien Martinez was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round (223rd overall). Martinez rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in the 2024 season. Before his tenure with Miami, he dominated at Oregon State.

Undrafted Free Agent Signings

Following the draft, several Miami players signed as undrafted free agents. Wide receiver Jacolby George agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers, securing a deal that includes $215,000 guaranteed. WR Xavier Restrepo ended up signing with the Titans, reuniting with Ward. Safety Meesh Powell signed with the Minnesota Vikings and CB Daryl Porter Jr. signed with the Buffalo Bills.
