Marion initially began his college career at UConn, spending his first two seasons there. As a freshman in 2021, Marion led the team with 28 receptions for 474 yards and five touchdowns. His 2022 season was limited due to a collarbone injury, resulting in four catches for 89 yards and one touchdown.
In 2023, Marion transferred to BYU and recorded 20 receptions for 216 yards and added three rushing touchdowns. The 2024 season saw him emerge as a premier return specialist, earning First-Team All-American honors and Second Team All-Big 12. He returned 18 kickoffs for 472 yards (26.2 average) and two touchdowns, including a 100-yard return against Wyoming and a 96-yard return versus Utah. Offensively, he contributed 24 receptions for 346 yards and one touchdown, along with 21 carries for 96 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Marion's versatility as both a receiver and return specialist makes him an attractive addition for teams looking to help their special teams unit and offensive depth. His decision will likely hinge on opportunities for immediate impact and the ability to showcase his abilities on both offense and special teams. Miami has had a lot of turnover at the WR position but it remains to be seen how aggressive they will pursue Marion.
