The Miami Hurricanes promised a big-time experience to the recruits on hand for their Week 7 showdown with Florida State, and they delivered.
This was supposed to be a coronation of the Hurricanes as the head of the hierarchy in the Sunshine State, but instead everyone got a Miami-FSU game for the ages. It was just the second time the rivals played in overtime and, once again, the Hurricanes came out on top with the 43-35 victory.
The recruits got to see what Hard Rock Stadium is like when things are rocking and the fan engagement added to the overall atmosphere.
To the BEST fans, THIS WAS FOR U 🙌

Thank U for bringing the HYPE!
See you at Hard Rock next week pic.twitter.com/gyMU8ktaFU
“They got to experience Hard Rock just going bananas, a true asylum night. And I thought they were raving about their experience. They were raving about the fan base, because the fan base, they came out, and they came out strong," Mario Cristobal said in his postgame comments.
Miami fans at Hard Rock Stadium gave recruits a night to remember
The atmosphere when the Miami Hurricanes play is often underappreciated. I've been lucky enough to attend Miami-FSU games at The Orange Bowl, Doak Campbell Stadium, and Hard Rock Stadium (under many different names). They are all great. Personally, I miss the Orange Bowl, but I understand it was a landmark that had seen its time come and go. Miami's current home is one of the most spectacular stadiums in sports.
And the Hurricanes have been the beneficiary of the fallout from this past weekend, with new predictions for Miami to land two of their major targets — edge rusher Asher Ghioto and wide receiver Brysen Wright.
The Rivals/On3 predictor gives Miami an 85% chance of landing Ghioto, with the recent predictions for the blue-chip pass rusher from Jacksonville coming from Steve Wiltfong, who serves as the network's VP of recruiting, and Chad Simmons, the Director of Recruiting.
That same duo made predictions for the Hurricanes to land Wright as well, with the predictor giving the Hurricanes a whopping 97% chance of landing the star playmaker from Jacksonville.

Miami's 2028 class could be as good as the 2027 edition
The Hurricanes have a top 5 class in 2027 with multiple five-star prospects committed, along with a lion's share of the local blue-chip recruits like A'mir Sears and Nick Lennear. It's the kind of recruiting haul that should eventually result in a lot of new trophies coming through the football office.
If the recruiting class in 2028 comes anywhere close to that, it's going to be the foundation of several years of success for the program. Ghioto and Wright might have more to see, with the former saying he'll be in attendance for the Miami-Notre Dame game on Nov. 7. But for now, it's safe to say that the Hurricanes are in great position to add two potential game-changing talents to an already stacked roster.
