Cornerback Xavier Lucas and wide receiver Malachi Toney were named to the ACC Team of the Week and Miami earned the offensive line of the week from Pro Football Focus for their performances in the Hurricanes' 38-7 win at Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Pro Football Focus gave Lucas an 83.1 grade, the second highest for Miami at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Lucas had four tackles with a key tackle while forcing a fumble on fourth and three for Pittsburgh at the Miami 33 yardline.
Pro Football Focus graded Lucas with an 83.4 coverage grade with two receptions on two targets for 10 yards without a missed tackle, per David Lake of Inside the U. Lucas finished the 2025 regular season with 35 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, one interception, one forced fumble and six passes defended.
Toney recorded 13 receptions for 126 yards and a TD, completed one pass in two attempts for nine yards and a score and had five carries for 30 yards against Pittsburgh. The 13 receptions tied the Miami single-game record set by Mike Harley in 2021 against Duke.

Miami’s offensive line did an incredible job of keeping quarterback Carson Beck clean in the team's win over Pittsburgh this week. From 38 pass-blocking snaps, the unit combined to allow just one pressure and also helped power a rushing attack that averaged 4.4 yards per carry."
Beck had 23 completions in 29 attempts for 267 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The Miami offensive line allowed six tackles for loss, two sacks and one quarterback hurry against Pittsburgh. Miami ran 39 times for 140 yards and one TD at Pittsburgh.
Miami is not a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, honoring the top OL nationally. The Hurricanes are sixth nationally, allowing 3.5 TFLs and eight, permitting 0.92 sacks per game. Miami right tackle Francis Mauigoa earned the 2025 Jacobs Blocking Award on Monday, honoring the best blocker in the ACC.
In addition to being named to the PFF Team of Week 14, Toney was also the ACC WR of the Week for his performance at Pittsburgh. Toney is likely to earn All-ACC and the Offensive Rookie of the Year and possibly Rookie of the Year, which will be announced on Tuesday and Wednesday.
