Keelan Marion's transfer to the Miami Hurricanes has been recognized as one of the top moves in the 2025 spring transfer portal cycle, according to On3. The former BYU wide receiver and All-American kick returner is expected to make an immediate impact in Coral Gables. In the list, created by On3's Pete Nakos, Marion ranks as the 6th-most impactful transfer. He is behind Nico Iamaleava going to UCLA, Joey Aguilar transferring to Tennessee, David Bailey moving to Texas Tech, Bernard Gooden taking his talents to LSU, and Maraad Watson to Texas.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, Marion is a dynamic weapon when he is on the football field. In his career, he has totaled 76 receptions for 1,125 yards and 12 total touchdowns. On special teams in the 2024 season, he returned 18 kicks for 472 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Big 12 with a 26.2-yard average per return.

Marion also has the ability to line up both in the slot and on the outside. In the previous season, he recorded 144 snaps in the slot and 311 out wide. With departures in the receiving corps and special teams, Marion's dual-threat capability fills a big need need for the Hurricanes. He should be able to slot in with other receivers such as CJ Daniels, JoJo Trader, and Malachi Toney. Marion, along with fellow WR transfer Tony Johnson (Cincinnati), gives Carson Beck more to work with in 2025.

Marion's addition is just one part of the impressive class that head coach Mario Cristobal has brought in through the transfer portal. Combining the winter and spring classes, Miami has the 5th-ranked transfer class in all of college football, according to On3. The Hurricanes have brought in 20 new players which includes one 5-star (Beck), six 4-stars, and 11 3-star prospects.
