With transfer guard Acaden Lewis safely in the hands of the Miami Hurricanes and head coach Jai Lucas, the program's starting lineup is starting to take shape, and, at least on paper, it looks as good as any other team out there.

Lewis isn't the only score that Lucas has made in the portal, joining former Georgia Bulldog center Somto Cyril in joining the Canes as a transfer prospect.

Now, of course, Lucas could choose to start any five of his players. However, with the experience between Lewis and Cyril, combined with Dante Allen and Shelton Henderson's experience with the program, as well as to-be-freshman Caleb Gaskins, why wouldn't that be Miami's starting five?

During his freshman season with the Villanova Wildcats, Lewis averaged 12.2 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds while starting in all 33 games.

Cyril, who spent two years at Georgia, is the big man the Lucas and the Canes coveted so highly as soon as he entered the portal. He averaged 9.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 assists per game.

Allen, during his freshman season at Miami, started in just 18 games but still averaged 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Henderson, who will be a junior next season, averaged 13.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Gaskins, a five-star prospect in the class of 2026, committed to the Hurricanes over a slew of other programs as the No. 3 PF in the recruiting cycle.

The mix of experience, size, and understanding of Lucas's style of coaching could turn the Canes into a powerhouse of a team next season, even as Miami takes on blue-blood ACC rivals like Duke, North Carolina, and more.
