It's flip season when it comes to college football recruiting and the Hurricanes are ready to make some noise.
Mario Cristobal and Miami of course are no strangers to getting the job done there, with the ACC powerhouse looking to work its magic when it comes to 4-star Georgia commit Donte Wright. The elite playmaker was just in Coral Gables for an unofficial visit and it's clear the Canes have given him a lot to think about moving forward.
Miami could be on the verge of its biggest recruiting weekend under Mario Cristobal
Wright has been high on Miami for quite some time. In an interview with On3's EJ Holland, Wright didn't hold back in saying the Canes are going to be a 'big contender' for him moving forward. Time for Kirby Smart to start shaking in his boots?
“I always had high expectations for Miami. They reached all those expectations. I feel like Miami is a big contender for sure.”

Miami, Mario Cristobal making a serious push to flip Georgia commit Donte Wright
When it comes to recruiting these days, nothing is ever done until a prospect signs. The door is always open for a different coaching staff to change a player's mind and that's exactly what's going on here with Wright, who has been committed to Georgia since June 30.
Despite that, Miami, Oregon and others are working overtime for a flip. It's easy to see why Wright is still getting so much attention, as he's ranked five stars, the No. 2 cornerback in the country and No. 10 player nationally for the 2027 class according to 247Sports.
Throughout his recruitment, he's picked up 23 offers, with that number surely to grow in the coming months. When Georgia and Smart originally landed him, it was a massive get for the SEC side. However, again, there's a long way to go until the Early Signing Period gets here in December.
Miami and Cristobal are going to continue to put on the full-court press for Wright, with an official visit coming soon on June 5. From our chair, it looks like Georgia will be hanging on with everything it has to keep Wright on board, but Miami is going to make that quite difficult. Despite him being Athens-bound for now, a flip wouldn't be a surprise at all here.
