Kaden Henderson is here to bring some good news for the Miami Hurricanes.
Despite some recent news of de-commitments, the Hurricanes still have one of the best recruiting classes in the country, and they are few steps away from turning their already-great 2027 recruiting class into a legendary haul. Henderson, a five-star linebacker from Tampa, is a major part of those plans.

Miami has been in the thick of it for Henderson for several months, but the Hurricanes have some tough competition with LSU among the schools jumping in the mix recently. Henderson says his top five remains consistent with Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas A&M and Ohio State in the group with the Hurricanes. Despite the top five being consistent, there is talk that Henderson will take an official visit to LSU as well. He will be at Notre Dame this weekend for the Irish's spring game.
Kaden Henderson is still very high on the Hurricanes
Henderson told Gaby Urrutia of 247Sports that he's looking for a strong bond with the coaches and a program that offers the ability for him to step in and contribute early. Those are both boxes that have been checked off at Miami.
"I think Coach Hetherman wants what's best for me from a coaching approach. He's a guy who's going to keep pushing me. He wants the best for me. He's going to do everything he possibly can to get me to where I want to be," Henderson said. "I think he can do that, even with the guys he has. Even talking to Coach Cristobal, they haven't really had a guy, not to boost my head up, that's my stature, who can step up and early. That's the goal. Step in and make an impact early."
It's been quite the past 24 hours for the Miami Hurricanes on the recruiting front with the defections of a couple of longtime in-state commits. But that's the nature of the beast and if we've learned anything over the past couple of years, it's that Mario Cristobal doesn't take recruiting lightly. The Hurricanes still have a top ten class on the board with a ton of elite recruits they are targeting, so there's plenty of room for Henderson to join the fold.
